Trading Commodity Volatility – A Woman’s Perspective

In this podcast, Kimberly Rios, a Commodity Portfolio Manager at Catalyst Funds recently sat down with Jeff Malec, Managing Director and Partner from RCM Alternatives to give a woman’s perspective on trading volatility. Moreover, Kimberly gives her perspective on what it’s like to be a woman in the Investment Industry in today’s world.

Kimberly also discusses her educational background and her path to becoming a portfolio manager. She also covers how trading commodities is not the easiest sector to trade, while it’s been out of favor for years, but she’s used to that, having worked at a value firm during the internet boom and a growth firm during 9/11. She also gives a few side-road discussions, covering growing up in a very small town, meeting Muhammed Ali while working at the Sydney Olympics, and some of her favorite books. Her story is not exactly typical for someone in her field, so we hope you’ll enjoy hearing a little different perspective on things.
